Parker Wilson Senior Mechanical Engineer Rob Greenwood visited Liverpool John Moores University this week as part of their third year students’ project reviews. Rob was helping the students with respect to projects from a mechanical, electrical, public health and sustainability perspective. The advice was well received and Rob is looking forward to seeing the creative, innovative ideas coming from the new crop of Architects in the near future.
Meanwhile, Parker Wilson Sustain Partner Phil Grice has visited the University of Salford to talk to first year construction students about sustainability in design and construction. The presentation concentrated on the voluntary and regulatory tools currently in place to encourage sustainable design innovation, as well as looking forward to what standards these students are likely to be designing to when they graduate. Phil will also be attending the University of Liverpool in the coming weeks to speak to constructions students there.
We hope to build on these new links to help students in their career development and look forward to working with local universities again in the near future.
